What is the process for external schools/research institutes/companies to get animals in?
Can external schools/research institutes/companies use the equipment in LAF？
- Yes, the LAF is open for the use of both on-campus and off-campus researchers with advanced equipments. For the list of equipments, please refer to: List of equipments.
- If you are interested in keeping animals and using equipment in LAF, please confirm your needs during the preliminary communication.
What is the fee policy of external schools/research institutes/companies?
- For specific technical service charges, please consult the platform staff.
- LAF charges take the form of prepayment, customers need to pay the prepayment after confirming the order, the prepayment is not refundable.
I am an off-campus researcher and would like to purchase mice through the LAF, is this possible?
- The LAF offers a mouse purchasing service on behalf of some suppliers and strains.
I am from an external school/research institute/company, is it possible to raise mice from a collaborative group at the LAF? Is there anything I need to be careful about?
- Yes, you need to provide the test report of the last three months. For breeding, they need to be biologically decontaminated before entering the breeding area; if they are only for experiments, they need to be quarantined for 14 days, and they can enter the experimental area after passing the animal test report.
